Fans at Friday's league battle between the Sweetwater Mustangs (Sweetwater, TX) and the visiting Estacado Matadors (Lubbock, TX), saw Sweetwater's soccer squad hold off Estacado by a count of 3-2.

The Mustangs (3-7) will now prepare for their battle against Lake View (San Angelo, TX). The Chiefs enter the 4A Region 1 District 2 battle with a 8-8 record. In their last battle, Lake View tipped Big Spring (Big Spring, TX), 2-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Matadors battle the Pecos Eagles (Pecos, TX) in a 4A Region 1 District 2 battle, on Tuesday, March 4. Estacado will attempt to upgrade on its 7-6 season record.
