The Arcadia Firebirds (Oak Hall, VA) basketball edged the visiting Chincoteague Ponies (Chincoteague, VA), 50-47 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Firebirds now possess a 5-1 record. They play next when they travel to Northampton for a non-league bout on Thursday, January 30. Arcadia will play a Yellowjackets team coming off a 51-48 non-league loss to Nandua (Onley, VA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 2-3.
With the loss, Chincoteague falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Ponies host Nandua (Onley, VA) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 30. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 4-1. Nandua won 51-48 in their recent non-league bout against Northampton (Eastville, VA)
