Arcadia Firebirds (Oak Hall, VA) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Chincoteague Ponies (Chincoteague, VA), 46-44 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Arcadia upgrades its record to 9-1 on the year. The Firebirds host Northampton (Eastville, VA) to face the Yellowjackets in a non-league match on Tuesday, February 11. The Yellowjackets enter the match with a record of 2-4.
The Ponies now sport a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nandua for a non-league match on Tuesday, February 11. Chincoteague will face a Warriors squad coming off a 49-21 non-league win over Middlesex (Saluda, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 5-2.
