North Carolina High School Basketball - South Point holds off Ashbrook

In Tuesday's non-league contest, the visiting South Point Red Raiders basketball team scored a close 36-30 triumph over the Ashbrook Greenwave.

The Red Raiders (9-8) will now prepare for their contest against Forestview (Gastonia, NC). The Jaguars go into the contest with a 9-7 record. In their last contest, Forestview nipped Crest (Shelby, NC), 73-70, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Greenwave confront the Kings Mountain Mountaineers (Kings Mountain, NC) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 31. Ashbrook will attempt to better on its 4-9 season record. The Mountaineers go into the contest with a 11-4 record after their 57-51 non-league win over Burns (Lawndale, NC).
