North Carolina High School Basketball - South Point thwarts Ashbrook

December 20, 2024: Belmont, NC 28012

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the South Point Red Raiders (Belmont, NC) and the visiting Ashbrook Greenwave (Gastonia, NC), observed South Point's basketball team knock off Ashbrook by a score of 45-35.

The Red Raiders (4-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Cox Mill (Concord, NC). The Chargers come into the non-league challenge with a 4-1 record. In their last challenge, Cox Mill was knocked off by West Cabarrus (Concord, NC), 38-37, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Greenwave encounter the Kings Mountain Mountaineers (Kings Mountain, NC) in a challenge, on Tuesday, January 7. Ashbrook will attempt to improve on its 2-4 season record.
