The Newburgh Free Academy Goldbacks basketball team scored 65 points and limited the visiting Middletown Middie Bears to 39 in the Goldbacks non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Goldbacks now possess a 6-4 record. They play next when they host Pine Bush for a non-league game on Thursday, January 30. Newburgh Free Academy will play a Bushmen team coming off a 84-50 non-league win over Minisink Valley (Slate Hill, NY). The Bushmen record now stands at 10-1.

With the loss, Middletown falls to 8-3 on the campaign. The Middie bears host Kingston (Kingston, NY) to play the Tigers in a non-league game on Thursday, January 30. The Tigers go into the game with a record of 11-3. Kingston won 56-54 in their recent non-league game against Shenendehowa (Clifton Park, NY)
