With the victory, New Hanover upgrades its record to 8-1 on the year. The Wildcats travel to West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC) to face the Trojans in a match on Thursday, January 30. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 8-6. West Brunswick lost 61-59 in their recent league match against Laney (Wilmington, NC)

The Pirates now sport a 6-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ashley for a non-league match on Wednesday, January 29. Topsail will face a Screaming Eagle squad coming off a 44-27 non-league win over South Brunswick (Southport, NC). The Screaming Eagle record now stands at 6-7.
