St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltoppers (St. Johnsbury, VT) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Bellows Free Academy Bobwhites/Comets (St. Albans, VT), 70-53 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, St. Johnsbury Academy upgrades its record to 13-2 on the campaign. The Hilltoppers travel to Rice Memorial (South Burlington, VT) to play the Green Knights in a Metro bout on Thursday, February 1. The Green Knights come into the bout with a record of 14-1. Rice Memorial won 71-45 in their recent league bout against Essex (Essex Junction, VT)

Next up, the Bobwhites/Comets play the Burlington Seahorses (Burlington, VT) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, February 1. Bellows Free Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Seahorses come into the bout with a 8-8 record after their 63-50 league loss to Champlain Valley Union (Hinesburg, VT).
