DeSoto Central Jaguars (Southaven, MS) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Hernando Tigers (Hernando, MS), 60-43 in a league bout.

With the win, DeSoto Central upgrades its record to 9-14 on the season. The Jaguars host Southaven (Southaven, MS) to clash with the Chargers in a 7A Region 1 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Chargers go into the bout with a record of 10-10. Southaven won 79-75 in their recent league bout against Horn Lake (Horn Lake, MS)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Oxford Chargers (Oxford, MS) in a 7A Region 1 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Hernando will attempt to upgrade on its 7-15 season record. The Chargers go into the bout with a 14-10 record after their 72-59 league win over Lewisburg (Olive Branch, MS).
