Georgia High School Basketball - Macon County nips Manchester

January 29, 2024: Montezuma, GA 31063

Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Macon County Bulldogs (Montezuma, GA) and the visiting Manchester Blue Devils (Manchester, GA), saw Macon County's basketball squad hold off Manchester by a count of 62-56.

With the victory, Macon County upgrades its record to 19-3 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Central (Talbotton, GA) to play the Hawks in a A D2 Region 6 challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Hawks come into the challenge with a record of 9-10. Central lost 73-51 in their recent non-league challenge against Randolph-Clay (Cuthbert, GA)

Next up, the Blue Devils play the Schley County Wildcats (Ellaville, GA) in a A D2 Region 6 challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Manchester will attempt to upgrade on its 14-6 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 8-9 record after their 59-56 league win over Taylor County (Butler, GA).
