Monmouth Academy Mustangs (Monmouth, ME) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Old Orchard Beach Seagulls (Old Orchard Beach, ME), 73-40 in a league bout.

With the victory, Monmouth Academy upgrades its record to 11-3 on the campaign. The Mustangs host Richmond (Richmond, ME) to play the Bobcats in a C South bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Bobcats come into the bout with a record of 13-1. Richmond won 75-45 in their recent non-league bout against Islesboro Central (Islesboro, ME)

Next up, the Seagulls play the Waynflete Flyers (Portland, ME) in a C South bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Old Orchard Beach will attempt to upgrade on its 6-7 season record. The Flyers come into the bout with a 11-4 record after their 38-30 league loss to Winthrop (Winthrop, ME).
