Monmouth Academy Mustangs (Monmouth, ME) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Old Orchard Beach Seagulls (Old Orchard Beach, ME), 56-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Monmouth Academy upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Mustangs host Mountain Valley (Rumford, ME) to clash with the Falcons in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 14. The Falcons go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Mountain Valley won 76-51 in their recent league bout against Poland (Poland, ME)

Next up, the Seagulls clash with the Traip Rangers (Kittery, ME) in a C South bout, on Friday, December 15. Old Orchard Beach will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Rangers go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 51-25 league loss to Waynflete (Portland, ME).
