The Zumbrota-Mazeppa Cougars basketball team scored 68 points and held the visiting Chatfield Gophers to 53 in the Cougars league triumph on Monday.
The Cougars now sport a 10-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Stewartville for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 30. Zumbrota-Mazeppa will battle a Tigers team coming off a 57-36 league win over Red Wing (Red Wing, MN). The Tigers record now stands at 13-6.
The Gophers (12-11) will now prepare for their contest against Dover-Eyota (Eyota, MN). The Eagles enter the AA Section 1 contest with a 20-4 record. In their last contest, Dover-Eyota ran past Lanesboro (Lanesboro, MN), 74-37, in a non-league contest.
