Ohio High School Basketball - Mineral Ridge tops Springfield

January 29, 2024: New Middletown, OH 44442

Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Mineral Ridge Rams (Mineral Ridge, OH) and the host Springfield Tigers (New Middletown, OH), saw Mineral Ridge's basketball squad knock off Springfield by a count of 58-49.

With the victory, Mineral Ridge upgrades its record to 16-2 on the campaign. The Rams host Lordstown (Warren, OH) to play the Red Devils in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 31. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a record of 0-16. Lordstown lost 59-16 in their recent league challenge against St. John (Ashtabula, OH)

Next up, the Tigers play the Ursuline Fighting Irish (Youngstown, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 1. Springfield will attempt to upgrade on its 13-6 season record.
