Louisa County Lions (Mineral, VA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Charlottesville Black Knights (Charlottesville, VA), 38-26 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Louisa County upgrades its record to 9-7 on the season. The Lions host Monticello (Charlottesville, VA) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 9-5.

Next up, the Black Knights play the Goochland Bulldogs (Goochland, VA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Charlottesville will attempt to upgrade on its 8-5 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 2-9 record after their 67-38 non-league loss to Albemarle (Charlottesville, VA).
