Maryland High School Basketball - Our Lady of Good Counsel bested by DeMatha

The Our Lady of Good Counsel Falcons basketball squad (Olney, MD), lost 66-55 in Wednesday's league battle with the host DeMatha Stags (Hyattsville, MD)

With the victory, DeMatha advances its record to 16-5 on the year. The Stags travel to Archbishop Carroll (Washington, DC) to meet the Lions in a DCSAA AA battle on Friday, January 31. The Lions enter the battle with a record of 13-10. Archbishop Carroll won 64-63 in their recent league battle against Bishop Ireton (Alexandria, VA)

The Falcons now own a 10-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bishop O'Connell for a VISAA Division I battle on Friday, January 31. Our Lady of Good Counsel will meet a Knights squad coming off a 62-57 league win over St. John's (Washington, DC). The Knights record now stands at 17-5.
