The crowd at Wednesday's league challenge between the Salem Academy Crusaders (Salem, OR) and the host Santiam Wolverines (Mill City, OR), observed Salem Academy's basketball team knock off Santiam by a score of 47-33.

The Crusaders (18-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Gervais (Gervais, OR). The Cougars come into the 2A Tri-River challenge with a 1-15 record. In their last challenge, Gervais dropped by Colton (Colton, OR), 40-13, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Wolverines encounter the Delphian Dragons (Sheridan, OR) in a 2A Tri-River challenge, on Friday, January 31. Santiam will attempt to improve on its 11-8 season record.
