The Owen Warhorses basketball team scored 41 points and limited the visiting Avery County Vikings to 36 in the Warhorses non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Warhorses now possess a 6-6 record. They play next when they travel to Avery County for a non-league game on Friday, February 7.

With the loss, Avery County falls to 6-6 on the campaign. The Vikings host Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC) to confront the Cougars in a non-league game on Friday, January 31. The Cougars go into the game with a record of 3-9. Mountain Heritage lost 46-36 in their recent non-league game against Avery County (Newland, NC)
