Avery Bulldogs (Avery, TX) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Union Hill Bulldogs (Gilmer, TX), 50-29 in a league bout.

With the win, Avery upgrades its record to 13-10 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Sulphur Bluff (Sulphur Bluff, TX) to play the Bears in a 1A Region III District 24 bout on Friday, January 6. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 9-12. Sulphur Bluff lost 70-64 in their recent league bout against Yantis (Yantis, TX)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Avinger Indians (Avinger, TX) in a 1A Region III District 24 bout, on Friday, January 6. Union Hill will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 4-16 record after their 52-48 league loss to Avery (Avery, TX).
