Texas High School Basketball - Azle can't hold off Northwest

The Northwest Texans basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Azle Hornets to 50 in the Texans league triumph on Tuesday.
The Texans now sport a 10-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Rider for a 5A Region I District 5 contest on Tuesday, January 10. Northwest will battle a Raiders team coming off a 52-32 league loss to Granbury (Granbury, TX). The Raiders record now stands at 13-8.
The Hornets (12-11) will now prepare for their contest against Saginaw (Saginaw, TX). The Rough Riders enter the 5A Region I District 5 contest with a 7-11 record. In their last contest, Saginaw was nudged by Brewer (Fort Worth, TX), 47-28, in a league contest.
