Woodside Wolverines (Newport News, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Bethel Bruins (Hampton, VA), 64-34 in a league bout.

With the win, Woodside upgrades its record to 7-3 on the season. The Wolverines travel to Phoebus (Hampton, VA) to play the Phantoms in a Peninsula bout on Friday, January 6. The Phantoms go into the bout with a record of 3-3. Phoebus lost 84-63 in their recent league bout against Kecoughtan (Hampton, VA)

Next up, the Bruins play the Menchville Monarchs (Newport News, VA) in a Peninsula bout, on Friday, January 6. Bethel will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Monarchs come into the challenge with a 8-0 record after their 118-40 league win over Gloucester (Gloucester, VA).
