In Tuesday's league outing, the Woodside Wolverines (Newport News, VA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Bethel Bruins (Hampton, VA), by a count of 62-31.
The Wolverines (15-5) will now prepare for their outing against Phoebus (Hampton, VA). The Phantoms go into the Peninsula outing with a 10-11 record. In their last outing, Phoebus was crushed by Kecoughtan (Hampton, VA), 74-51, in a league outing.
The Bruins now hold a 9-11 record. They play next when they travel to Menchville for a Peninsula outing on Friday, February 10. Bethel will clash with a Monarchs squad coming off a 81-42 league win over Gloucester (Gloucester, VA). The Monarchs record now stands at 20-0.
