Norwin Knights (North Huntingdon, PA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Canon-McMillan Big Macs (Canonsburg, PA), 46-45 in a league bout.

With the win, Norwin upgrades its record to 7-2 on the season. The Knights host Upper St. Clair (Upper St. Clair, PA) to confront the Panthers in a WPIAL 6A 2 challenge on Friday, January 6. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 6-5. Upper St. Clair won 87-32 in their recent league challenge against Hempfield Area (Greensburg, PA)

Next up, the Big Macs confront the Baldwin Highlanders (Pittsburgh, PA) in a WPIAL 6A 2 challenge, on Friday, January 6. Canon-McMillan will attempt to improve on its 3-7 season record. The Highlanders come into the challenge with a 4-5 record after their 46-44 league loss to Mt. Lebanon (Pittsburgh, PA).
