Centennial Spartans (Burleson, TX) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Joshua Owls (Joshua, TX), 84-58 in a league bout.

With the victory, Centennial upgrades its record to 19-4 on the campaign. The Spartans host Midlothian (Midlothian, TX) to play the Panthers in a 5A Region I District 8 bout on Friday, January 6. The Panthers come into the bout with a record of 18-4. Midlothian won 64-25 in their recent league bout against Burleson (Burleson, TX)

Next up, the Owls play the Midlothian Heritage Jaguars (Midlothian, TX) in a 5A Region I District 8 bout, on Friday, January 6. Joshua will attempt to upgrade on its 3-11 season record. The Jaguars come into the bout with a 10-13 record after their 41-37 league loss to Cleburne (Cleburne, TX).
