The Joshua Owls basketball team (Joshua, TX), was nudged 49-42 in Friday's league battle with the host Centennial Spartans (Burleson, TX)
The Spartans now possess a 24-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cleburne for a 5A Region I District 8 battle on Saturday, February 4. Centennial will confront a Yellowjackets team coming off a 76-61 league loss to Midlothian Heritage (Midlothian, TX). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 11-19.
The Owls (4-19) will now prepare for their battle against Burleson (Burleson, TX). The Elks come into the 5A Region I District 8 battle with a 8-21 record. In their last battle, Burleson was nudged by Midlothian (Midlothian, TX), 79-46, in a league battle.
