Concord Christian Lions (Knoxville, TN) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting First Baptist Academy Eagles (Powell, TN), 60-46 in a league bout.

With the win, Concord Christian upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The Lions travel to Christian Academy of Knoxville (Knoxville, TN) to play the Warriors in a Division II-A East District 1 bout on Friday, January 6. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 12-5. Christian Academy of Knoxville won 59-57 in their recent non-league bout against McMinn Central (Englewood, TN)

Next up, the Eagles play the Grace Christian Academy Rams (Knoxville, TN) in a Division II-A East District 1 bout, on Friday, January 6. First Baptist Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 1-8 season record. The Rams go into the bout with a 6-8 record after their 61-51 non-league win over Maryville Christian (Maryville, TN).
