The Mercedes Tigers basketball team scored 83 points and held the visiting Donna North Chiefs to 40 in the Tigers league triumph on Tuesday.

The Tigers now sport a 11-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pace for a 5A Region IV District 32 contest on Friday, January 6. Mercedes will meet a Vikings team coming off a 39-36 league loss to Veterans Memorial (Brownsville, TX). The Vikings record now stands at 16-7.
