The Mercedes Tigers (Mercedes, TX) basketball crushed the host Donna North Chiefs (Donna, TX), 97-42 in Friday's league test.
The Tigers (16-15) will now prepare for their test against Pace (Brownsville, TX). The Vikings go into the 5A Region IV District 32 test with a 22-10 record. In their last test, Pace walloped Veterans Memorial (Brownsville, TX), 43-38, in a league test.
The Chiefs now own a 2-25 record. They play next when they travel to Lopez for a 5A Region IV District 32 test on Tuesday, February 7. Donna North will encounter a Lobos squad coming off a 54-40 league win over Porter (Brownsville, TX). The Lobos record now stands at 22-9.
