The Edwards County Lions basketball team (Albion, IL), was overwhelmed 62-34 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Fairfield Mules (Fairfield, IL)
The Mules now possess a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lawrenceville for a non-league battle on Friday, January 6. Fairfield will battle a Indians team coming off a 50-45 non-league win over Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg (Windsor, IL). The Indians record now stands at 14-2.
The Lions (4-10) will now prepare for their battle against Flora (Flora, IL). The Wolves come into the Black Diamond - East battle with a 9-6 record. In their last battle, Flora trounced Greenville (Greenville, IL), 47-35, in a non-league battle.
