Illinois High School Basketball - Fairfield tipped by Edwards County

The Edwards County Lions basketball team scored 35 points and held the visiting Fairfield Mules to 34 in the Lions league triumph on Friday.
The Lions now sport a 6-19 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Red Hill for a non-league contest on Monday, February 13. Edwards County will meet a Salukis team coming off a 85-41 league loss to Christ Our Rock Lutheran (Centralia, IL). The Salukis record now stands at 5-23.
The Mules (10-17) will now prepare for their contest against Chester (Chester, IL). The Yellowjackets enter the non-league contest with a 12-16 record. In their last contest, Chester nudged Sparta (Sparta, IL), 48-38, in a league contest.
