In Tuesday's league outing, the James River Knights (Buchanan, VA) basketball squad nipped the host Floyd County Buffaloes (Floyd, VA), by a margin of 67-64.

The Knights (8-3) will now prepare for their outing against Glenvar (Salem, VA). The Highlanders go into the Three Rivers outing with a 7-2 record. In their last outing, Glenvar got by Carroll County (Hillsville, VA), 60-55, in a league outing.

The Buffaloes now own a 6-3 record. They play next when they travel to Alleghany for a Three Rivers outing on Thursday, January 5. Floyd County will clash with a Mountaineers squad coming off a 59-43 league loss to Radford (Radford, VA). The Mountaineers record now stands at 6-3.
