In Tuesday's league outing, the Parry McCluer Fighting Blues (Buena Vista, VA) basketball squad nipped the visiting Highland Rams (Monterey, VA), by a margin of 52-46.

The Fighting Blues (5-5) will now prepare for their outing against Eastern Montgomery (Elliston, VA). The Mustangs go into the Pioneer outing with a 2-8 record. In their last outing, Eastern Montgomery was tipped by Craig County (New Castle, VA), 57-46, in a league outing.

The Rams now own a 1-4 record. They play next when they host Narrows for a Pioneer outing on Friday, January 6. Highland will clash with a Green Waves squad coming off a 66-42 league win over Bath County (Hot Springs, VA). The Green Waves record now stands at 8-3.
