The Hodgeman County Longhorns basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the host Spearville Lancers to 48 in the Longhorns non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Longhorns now sport a 5-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ashland for a non-league contest on Friday, January 6. Hodgeman County will battle a Blue Jays team coming off a 43-35 non-league loss to Ingalls (Ingalls, KS). The Blue Jays record now stands at 1-5.

The Lancers (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Pawnee Heights (Rozel, KS). The Tigers come into the Southern Plains-Iroquois contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, Pawnee Heights prevailed over Bucklin (Bucklin, KS), 79-68, in a non-league contest.
