Monadnock Huskies (East Swanzey, NH) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Kearsarge Cougars (North Sutton, NH), 51-50 in a league bout.

With the win, Monadnock upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Huskies host Newport (Newport, NH) to clash with the Tigers in a Division III bout on Friday, January 6. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 1-2. Newport lost 71-53 in their recent league bout against Stevens (Claremont, NH)

Next up, the Cougars clash with the Hopkinton Hawks (Contoocook, NH) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 5. Kearsarge will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record.
