In Tuesday's league outing, the Patrick County Cougars (Stuart, VA) basketball squad edged the host Magna Vista Warriors (Ridgeway, VA), by a count of 72-67.

The Cougars (5-5) will now prepare for their outing against Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA). The Trojans go into the Piedmont outing with a 10-1 record. In their last outing, Tunstall was tipped by George Washington (Danville, VA), 78-69, in a league outing.

The Warriors now hold a 3-9 record. They play next when they travel to Mecklenburg County for a Freelance outing on Friday, January 6. Magna Vista will clash with a Phoenix squad coming off a 75-51 league loss to Bassett (Bassett, VA). The Phoenix record now stands at 4-5.
