North Carolina High School Basketball - Northampton County over Southeast Halifax

January 3, 2023: Gaston, NC 27832

Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Northampton County Jaguars (Gaston, NC) and the visiting Southeast Halifax Trojans (Halifax, NC), saw Northampton County's basketball squad overcome Southeast Halifax by a tally of 55-36.

With the victory, Northampton County improves its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Jaguars host North Edgecombe (Tarboro, NC) to confront the Warriors in a 1A Conference 9 challenge on Friday, January 6. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 8-2. North Edgecombe won 99-55 in their recent non-league challenge against Tarboro (Tarboro, NC)

Next up, the Trojans confront the Washington County Panthers (Plymouth, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 5. Southeast Halifax will attempt to improve on its 4-4 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 7-0 record after their 84-22 league win over Perquimans (Hertford, NC).
