In Tuesday's league outing, the South Portland Red Riots (South Portland, ME) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Sanford Spartans (Sanford, ME), by a count of 78-41.
With the victory, South Portland upgrades its record to 6-1 on the campaign. The Red Riots host Massabesic (Waterboro, ME) to play the Mustangs in a AA South bout on Thursday, January 5. The Mustangs come into the bout with a record of 0-5.
Next up, the Spartans play the Thornton Academy Trojans (Saco, ME) in a AA South bout, on Monday, January 9. Sanford will attempt to upgrade on its 1-6 season record.
