The South Portland Red Riots ran past the host Sanford Spartans basketball team by a final score of 47-34 in Wednesday's non-league game.
In their next game, the Red Riots face the Scarborough Red Storm (Scarborough, ME) in a non-league game, on Thursday, February 23. South Portland will attempt to move on its 16-3 season record. The Red Storm enter the game with a 7-13 record after their 59-58 non-league win over Gorham (Gorham, ME).
With the defeat, Sanford moves to 5-14 on the year.
