Abingdon Falcons (Abingdon, VA) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Lee Generals (Jonesville, VA), 47-37 in a league bout.

With the win, Abingdon upgrades its record to 3-6 on the season. The Falcons travel to Central Wise (Norton, VA) to clash with the Warriors in a Mountain bout on Friday, January 6. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 8-3. Central Wise won 56-44 in their recent league bout against Gate City (Gate City, VA)

Next up, the Generals clash with the Ridgeview Wolfpack (Clintwood, VA) in a Mountain bout, on Friday, January 6. Lee will attempt to upgrade on its 0-5 season record. The Wolfpack go into the bout with a 9-2 record after their 49-43 league win over John Battle (Bristol, VA).
