The Ballard Bombers basketball team (Huxley, IA), was nudged 53-46 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting North Polk Comets (Alleman, IA)
The Comets now possess a 7-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bondurant-Farrar for a Raccoon River battle on Friday, January 6. North Polk will battle a Bluejays team coming off a 55-48 league win over Gilbert (Gilbert, IA). The Bluejays record now stands at 2-4.
The Bombers (7-2) will now prepare for their battle against Norwalk (Norwalk, IA). The Warriors come into the non-league battle with a 1-4 record. In their last battle, Norwalk was nudged by Indianola (Indianola, IA), 53-42, in a league battle.
