In Friday's league outing, the North Polk Comets (Alleman, IA) basketball squad beat the visiting Ballard Bombers (Huxley, IA), by a count of 60-52.
The Comets (16-1) will now prepare for their outing against Bondurant-Farrar (Bondurant, IA). The Bluejays go into the Raccoon River outing with a 10-8 record. In their last outing, Bondurant-Farrar defeated Newton (Newton, IA), 54-29, in a non-league outing.
The Bombers now hold a 14-3 record. They play next when they travel to Winterset for a Raccoon River outing on Friday, February 10. Ballard will clash with a Huskies squad coming off a 53-29 league loss to North Polk (Alleman, IA). The Huskies record now stands at 11-8.
