Texas High School Basketball - Socorro knocked off by Coronado

The Coronado Thunderbirds basketball team scored 36 points and held the host Socorro Bulldogs to 28 in the Thunderbirds league triumph on Tuesday.
The Thunderbirds now sport a 8-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Montwood for a 6A Region I District 1 contest on Friday, January 6. Coronado will meet a Rams team coming off a 40-38 league loss to El Dorado (El Paso, TX). The Rams record now stands at 6-16.
The Bulldogs (7-13) will now prepare for their contest against Americas (El Paso, TX). The Trail Blazers enter the 6A Region I District 1 contest with a 15-6 record. In their last contest, Americas ran past Stratford (Stratford, TX), 53-35, in a non-league contest.
