California High School Basketball - Woodland can't hold off Mesa Verde

The Mesa Verde Mavericks basketball team scored 33 points and held the visiting Woodland Wolves to 31 in the Mavericks league triumph on Tuesday.
The Mavericks now sport a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mira Loma for a Golden Empire League contest on Friday, January 6. Mesa Verde will battle a Matadors team coming off a 63-33 non-league loss to Oakmont (Roseville, CA). The Matadors record now stands at 0-11.
The Wolves (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Dixon (Dixon, CA). The Rams enter the Golden Empire League contest with a 6-10 record. In their last contest, Dixon was nudged by Pioneer (Woodland, CA), 33-21, in a league contest.
