North Carolina High School Basketball - Mountain Heritage beaten by Avery County

January 3, 2023: Burnsville, NC 28714

In Tuesday's league match, the visiting Avery County Vikings basketball team scored a good 47-30 triumph over the Mountain Heritage Cougars.

In their next game, the Vikings meet the Madison Patriots (Marshall, NC) in a match, on Friday, January 6. Avery County will attempt to move on its 6-5 season record. The Patriots enter the match with a 0-10 record after their 57-25 non-league loss to Polk County (Columbus, NC).

With the defeat, Mountain Heritage moves to 4-4 on the year. The Cougars host Mitchell (Bakersville, NC) to meet the Mountaineers in a non-league match on Friday, January 6. The Mountaineers enter the match with a record of 8-1. Mitchell won 35-30 in their recent non-league match against North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC)
