Danville Bears (Danville, VT) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Twinfield Trojans (Plainfield, VT), 61-44 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Danville upgrades its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Oxbow (Bradford, VT) to play the Olympians in a non-league bout on Friday, January 5. The Olympians come into the bout with a record of 3-5. Oxbow won 62-24 in their recent non-league bout against Craftsbury Academy (Craftsbury Common, VT)

Next up, the Trojans play the Blue Mountain Bucks (Wells River, VT) in a Southern Vermont - D bout, on Friday, January 5. Twinfield will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Bucks come into the bout with a 3-3 record after their 77-21 league win over Sharon Academy (Sharon, VT).
