Nipmuc Regional Warriors (Upton, MA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Douglas Tigers (Douglas, MA), 59-49 in a league bout.

With the victory, Nipmuc Regional upgrades its record to 5-1 on the campaign. The Warriors host Hopedale (Hopedale, MA) to play the Blue Raiders in a Dual Valley bout on Friday, January 5. The Blue Raiders come into the bout with a record of 3-3. Hopedale lost 50-46 in their recent league bout against Sutton (Sutton, MA)

Next up, the Tigers play the Whitinsville Christian Crusaders (Whitinsville, MA) in a Dual Valley bout, on Friday, January 5. Douglas will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Crusaders come into the bout with a 4-0 record after their 51-38 league win over Blackstone-Millville (Blackstone, MA).
