With the win, Monessen upgrades its record to 7-1 on the season. The Greyhounds host Jefferson-Morgan (Jefferson, PA) to clash with the Rockets in a WPIAL 1A 2 bout on Friday, January 5. The Rockets go into the bout with a record of 8-3. Jefferson-Morgan won 40-36 in their recent league bout against Mapletown (Greensboro, PA)

Next up, the Gators clash with the West Greene Pioneers (Waynesburg, PA) in a WPIAL 1A 2 bout, on Friday, January 5. Geibel Catholic will attempt to upgrade on its 0-10 season record. The Pioneers go into the bout with a 5-5 record after their 66-63 league loss to California (Coal Center, PA).
