West Virginia High School Basketball - Independence overwhelmed by Nicholas County

The Independence Patriots basketball team (Coal City, WV), was overwhelmed 80-55 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV)

The Grizzlies now possess a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hoover for a Cardinal battle on Saturday, January 6. Nicholas County will confront a Huskies team coming off a 61-51 non-league loss to Lewis County (Weston, WV). The Huskies record now stands at 4-3.

The Patriots (2-4) will now prepare for their battle against Greenbrier West (Charmco, WV). The Cavaliers come into the non-league battle with a 2-3 record. In their last battle, Greenbrier West was overwhelmed by Clay-Battelle (Blacksville, WV), 79-50, in a non-league battle.
