West Virginia High School Basketball - Nicholas County overwhelms Independence

Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Nicholas County Grizzlies (Summersville, WV) and the visiting Independence Patriots (Coal City, WV), saw Nicholas County's basketball squad wallop Independence by a tally of 100-50.

With the victory, Nicholas County improves its record to 1-3 on the campaign. The Grizzlies travel to Braxton County (Sutton, WV) to confront the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 21. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 0-4.

Next up, the Patriots confront the Summers County Bobcats (Hinton, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 22. Independence will attempt to improve on its 2-2 season record.
