Mississippi High School Basketball - Leland can't hold off West Bolivar

The West Bolivar Eagles basketball team scored 37 points and restricted the host Leland Cubs to 32 in the Eagles league victory on Wednesday.
The Eagles now sport a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Shaw for a 1A Region 5 contest on Friday, January 5. West Bolivar will battle a Warriors team coming off a 64-48 league loss to Simmons (Hollandale, MS). The Warriors record now stands at 3-13.
The Cubs (2-13) will now prepare for their contest against West Tallahatchie (Webb, MS). The Choctaws come into the 1A Region 5 contest with a 7-6 record. In their last contest, West Tallahatchie was nudged by South Delta (Rolling Fork, MS), 57-51, in a league contest.
